How to use a beauty dish and create your own

monday 10 july 2017, 22:44 by | 444 views | 0 comments

A beauty dish isn't the most forgiving light modifier. It's a pretty hard light to get good results with. In this video photographer and educator Joe Edelman does an excellent job of explaining why you would want to use a beauty dish and how you should use it.

Joe also shows you how to create your own DIY beauty dish out of a shoot-through umbrella and some black foam core. The result is a beauty dish look for about 8 dollars.
