Using a drone to shoot portraits

Recently I bought a DJI Mavic Pro for shooting video. But this kind of drone can, of course, also be used to shoot photos and even portraits. They are great for getting an unusual perspective.

Unfortunately the quality of the camera isn't very good. It is similar to what you get out of your smartphone. So during the day it is acceptable but not what your are used to from your dslr.

Be sure to set your exposure correctly. In my case I should have underexposed a bit more because the camera had problems with the contrast of the dark water and the model's light skin.

The most logical portraits are shots taken straight from above. You can have your model lying on the ground (or like I did in the water) to get her in view. I'll try these kind of portraits again for sure with my drone in the future.
